"How much is that rubber ducky on the river?"
Florentijn Hofman's Rubber Duck Project in Seoul, Seokchon River. :-)
Finally dragged myself to Jamsil to meet this duck after weeks of knowing it was here and wanting to go. There were a lot of people, but it wasn't too bad because it's a Monday. Seeing people with their selfie sticks just make me wish I had one aha. Of course everyone was trying to get a shot with the duck, but they were all being nice about it - barely hogging spots like you might imagine. Maybe it's the rubber duck effect. :-)
The rubber duck is said to know no boundaries and has healing abilities.
Quack.

Last Sunday we had our successful getaway to Johor for a day of eating and chillin', thanks to the heavens who blessed us with good weather and me, whose passport expires at the end of the year. Myth busted: there is a possibility of you being able to enter Johor for a day trip if you have less than 6 months of validity on your passport but (!!) of course, it will always be better to play safe. ;-)
Zhiying, who was our guide for the day, brought us to this eatery - Restoran Hua Mui - where we had good and cheap food since we were pretty much starving by the time we were done at the customs. Our food is featured in the vlog which will be at the end of this post!! It's the last episode of our Lasts of Summer project since zy has gone back to sh and my days in sg are numbered :-(
Not looking forward to days of being a polar bear and hibernating, no. :-(

It's a two storey shophouse with a clothing concept store on the first and a cafe on the second level. The deco and style of the place reminded me of Stylenanda's flagship store ㅎㅎ
The espresso ice cube latte is the cafe's speciality and reason why we went there! Or rather the two of them since coffee is a no for me. I tried, and I try but nope, don't like coffee. It's pretty cool though and you can watch it in motion in the video!

Our last stop of the day. A nice, quiet little cafe with tea choices for tea lovers like me! Hohoho. My Rose Peach tea had a nice aroma and fruit bits in it :-)
Enjoy the video!
