The three of us finally got together for an overdue catch-up! My first time at Wang Dae Bak 😂 (what a 接地气 name) the food was good although on the pricey side like all korean food in sg. Adding this to the list of nice korean restaurants. The other one I really liked and (also ?) opened by Koreans is the restaurant at the ulu building behind 313 - not sure if it's still there though..!

And then 2차! We moved on to this quaint spot down the street which I noticed on my way to WDB. And imo Denise seems to know the area almost inside out haa.

Really like the cosy and vintage-y feel of the place.

@ The Projector for Loving Vincent

Vincent aka Vincent Van Gogh. The first film to be made entirely out of paintings 😱 so they animated the frames and added voice-overs for the characters. It took 4 years to produce this movie, and I think that effort alone is reason enough to go and watch it. Of course, if you're fond of paintings/art, want something new, something not mainstream (like 50shades - is it considered mainstream tho LOL) then you should watch it. BUT - Zy and I agreed that while the animated paintings were cool the swirling of brushstrokes are quite dizzy to watch. 😥

I think Van Gogh is largely responsible for the outdated (or maybe not) stereotype that artists are poor and have no future. I don't think it's valid anymore, but Van Gogh is human evidence of that statement. Poor man. (Pun intended)

It's actually my first time here despite having heard of this place few years back. Good coffee yay! The earl grey cheesecake was, like a cheesecake. I'm not sure if I'd tried an earl grey cheesecake that wow-ed me so far.
